Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, born 5 February 1985), commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after having transferred to Real Madrid from Manchester United in a deal worth £80 million (€94m, US$132m). His contract with Real Madrid is believed to have made him the highest-paid football player in the world.
Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he played for two years, then moved to Nacional. In 1997, he made a move to Portuguese giants Sporting Clube de Portugal. Ronaldo\'s precocious talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and he signed the 18-year-old for £12.24 million in 2003. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honour, the FA Cup, and reached the UEFA Euro 2004 final with Portugal, in which tournament he scored his first international goal. In 2008, Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League title, and was named player of the tournament.
He was named the FIFPro World Player of the Year and the FIFA World Player of the Year, in addition to becoming Manchester United\'s first Ballon d\'Or winner in 40 years.

It doesn’t matter what trophies he gets or doesn’t get, when I watch Ronaldo I see the best player in the world right now.

Ronaldo is the best in the world right now. Period! He should have won FIFA best player of the year. Maybe Barcelone are paying them to choose their players.
Barka
I don’t care what they say. Ronaldo is one of the best to ever kick the ball! I think in a year or two Real Madrid will win all championships again and Ronaldo’s star will rise.

Ronaldo is a great player in an impossible place. Everybody expects him to win the championship by himself and then blame him for being selfish. It makes no sense!

Ronaldo is as good as it gets. My heart goes out to him because he is having a difficult time right now. He is actually better this season than he was last year.

I agree, Ronaldo has nothing left to prove. As an individual player he is the best. Real Madrid is having a hard time right now, but Ronaldo is the only one that is really there for them.

Ronaldo is already a winner. Scoring more than twenty goals already in the league. He is a winner in every way and it’s stupid to say otherwise
joni
He can play in Germany, Italy, or England, they have great leagues there and he will win championships and prove what a winner he really is.

Are you crazy? You don’t leave a team like Real Madrid. Besides, where will he go? Next thing you will say he should go and play for Barcelona

Don’t be shocked, but I think Ronaldo should leave Real Madrid and play for a different team. They have too many players and too little heart.

Ronaldo will be back against Lyon. I just hope that his injury is not serious as it couldn’t have come at a much worse time of the season.

Some challenging times ahead. This is the chance for Ronaldo to prove that he is the best. If he can bring the Champion’s home, it will silence the doubters forever.

Yes, Ronaldo has a great opportunity now to show what he can really do. The only question is if the rest of the team will let him shine.

I am pretty sure that his best season is going to be next year. The Spanish championship is something that he must bring back home if he wants to be remembered in the club’s history.
sandra
It looks like Ronaldo is now leading the Spanish league in goals after Saturday’s game. There are only three or four games left in the season so he will probably end up keeping the leading scorer title.
luise
A bitter sweet ending to the season. It was one of Ronaldo’s best but it was still no enough to win the Champion’s cup.
tom
Ronaldo always played well. If his teammates would play on the same level they would have beaten Barcelona.
gabi
Ronaldo is the best there is. I only feel sorry that he is not getting enough appreciation in Real Madrid.
albert
Ronaldo is lucky not to have something as stressful as the Copa America to handle this summer. The rest will do him good.
